Biography

Shin Enishida, also known by his real name, Kazumasa Shimamatsu, is a writer and nephrologist with a deep passion for music. He has practiced medicine for over fifty years in Fukuoka, Japan, where he is currently based. His writing journey began after returning to Japan from a two-year research study at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Since then, Enishida has published a series of fictional short stories, several books on patient care, and multiple biographies of Claude Debussy in Japan. Raccoon Doggie’s Realm: The Musical Journey Within is his first work translated into English, with which he aims to reach a global audience.
